Browns Could Get 6 Key Players Back This Week

The Cleveland Browns have been one of the busier teams in the NFL this offseason, making several roster changes to try to turn the tide for the organization. They had significant needs on offense, particularly at wide receiver and on the offensive line, and they addressed them in the draft and through acquisitions.

While it remains to be seen how all of these new athletes will play together, it’s, at the very least, encouraging to fans that they invested in new talent. The Browns have been adequate to good on defense in recent years, but their offense has truly been the thorn in this team’s side.

Injuries haven’t helped their cause, either, and they’ve been dealing with some critical ones leading into the 2026 campaign. Thankfully, as reporter Daniel Oyefusi noted on X, the Browns are expecting Maliek Collins and Carson Schwesinger to turn a corner, along with four others.

This news couldn’t come at a better time for the Browns, as the season is slated to begin in less than a month. They need to get everyone possible together on the field, gelling as one cohesive unit that is unified heading into 2026.

It will be especially vital for Schwesinger to start the year healthy, as he’s the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year and was a major part of this defense a year ago. He’ll likely be called upon early and often when the season starts, especially considering Myles Garrett is no longer on the roster.

There have been a lot of barriers in the way of the Browns’ success over the years, and they don’t need significant injuries to pop up and wreck the 2026 campaign before it even starts. They’ve worked too hard and added too many pieces for things to start falling apart now. The fans are looking forward to seeing what a fully healthy team can do, so now it’s time for that hard work to start paying off.
