The regular season is right around the corner, and the Cleveland Browns are still making some roster tweaks in hopes of giving them the best chance in 2026. Their latest move brings more talent to the already-crowded wide receiver room, providing more support to that super important position. The Browns announced that they had signed wide receiver Bryce Oliver to the practice squad.
The team also revealed that the 26-year-old player will don No. 88 for the team.

Oliver started playing football for Kentucky during his college years, before transferring to Youngstown State. He was then signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL Draft before getting released in the preseason.
He was later re-signed to that team’s practice squad and then pushed to the active roster, playing in 10 games during the 2024 season and racking up 95 yards on six receptions. He has since appeared in three games for the Titans, receiving only one pass for eight yards.
Some people believe the Browns made a smart call here, one that landed in their lap. Many analysts believed that Oliver was a lock for the Titans’ 53-man roster. But he was then surprisingly cut by the team, and the Browns didn’t wait long to scoop him up. They believe that Tennessee’s loss could be their gain.
Oliver may enter the 2026 season with something to prove, showing the Titans that they made the wrong choice by letting him go. However, he is only on the practice squad, which provides no guarantee that he’ll actually show up on the field for the Browns during the season.
Cleveland’s wide receiver room has been a point of serious interest from fans, gaining a ton of attention during the offseason. With the arrivals of KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, it’s already a packed space, which could work against Oliver. But with talent and perhaps a chip on his shoulder, Oliver could work his way into the rotation.
For now, he will make his home with the team’s practice squad in hopes of more.
