Bernie Kosar Makes Big Prediction About Shedeur Sanders

Bernie Kosar remains one of the most respected voices in Browns history, and when he speaks about the quarterback position, fans tend to listen closely. Recently, Kosar spoke about Shedeur Sanders, offering his honest thoughts about what he’s seen from Sanders and how that will translate to the field.

Kosar believes when Sanders gets his chance, he’s gonna play well.

“I’m a big believer that guys deserve their opportunity to play. I’ve really loved what I’ve seen in Shedeur Sanders. His work ethic, the way he’s progressed, his efficiency, and what he’s throwing with the ball. I do think that Shedeur is gonna play real well when he gets his opportunity to play,” Kosar said.

The comments came during a segment about Cleveland’s trip to Tampa Bay, a matchup that already carries plenty of storylines given Baker Mayfield’s history with the Browns. Kosar’s praise for Sanders added another layer to a conversation that keeps circling back to the same question: how much longer does Deshaun Watson hold onto the starting job?

Sanders is entering his second season in the league after Cleveland selected him in 2025, and the traits Kosar highlighted line up with what the coaching staff has said publicly throughout camp.
