The Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver room last season was arguably the worst in the NFL, but after drafting Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion high in the 2026 draft, it’s clear through two games that the two of them have drastically upped the talent level at the position for the Browns. Both have shown early flashes of being great and should only continue to improve as they keep building chemistry with Deshaun Watson and getting more comfortable in Todd Monken’s offense.
That being said, there is still room for the Browns to get even better at the position. Jerry Jeudy still hasn’t bounced back to look like the 2024 version of himself, which is partly why one former player is urging the Browns to make a big splash and trade for one downtrodden Arizona Cardinals receiver.
During a recent episode of Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show, Tyvis Powell spoke on the recent trade rumors surrounding wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Powell believes he fits the mold of the kind of receiver GM Andrew Berry wants and would be a great fit alongside Boston and Concepcion.
“Obviously, [Marvin Harrison Jr.] fits the mold of what Andrew Berry wants. You think about pairing him with Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion, you’ve got a trio right there that could be really, really phenomenal. Marv hasn’t lived up to the expectations that he has. It was supposed to be him and Malik Nabers. Marvin hasn’t truly reached that potential. If the deal is on the table and they worked out a deal and it don’t include no first-round pick, absolutely I’d make that trade,” Powell said.

Harrison’s production in Arizona has gotten worse in each of his first three years in the NFL, and his lackluster route running is giving many the impression that he has checked out and is ripe for a change of scenery. He has one reception over the first two games but is still just a few years removed from being a can’t-miss No. 2 overall pick, so somebody around the league will talk themselves into the idea of him.
For a team like the Browns that is still primarily focused on the future, it’s certainly a deal worth considering. Cleveland has two first-round picks in next year’s draft, which makes it a bit easier to cough up a second or third-round pick for a high-upside talent like Harrison.
Whether or not Monken’s offense is an ideal fit for Harrison remains to be seen, but it’s at least intriguing. The Browns won’t be the only team interested in him, so this will be a fun little subplot to follow over the coming weeks.
