The Cleveland Browns have not played since last Thursday, which gave their injured players more time to recover before their Week 5 game against the New York Jets on Sunday. Unfortunately, not every one of them will be able to get back in action in time.
That includes defensive tackle Mason Graham, who was injured in the first quarter of Cleveland’s Week 4 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Graham has not been put on injured reserve but is expected to be out for at least a few weeks with a sprained MCL and ankle.
According to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN, Graham is one of seven Browns players who have been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
“Browns game status vs. the Jets: Kalia Davis – out, Dillon Gabriel – out, Mason Graham – out, Mike Hall – out, Teven Jenkins – out, Carsen Ryan – out, Tylan Wallace – out,” Oyefusi posted.

Graham was having a breakout season with four sacks in the first three games, which was tied for second in the NFL. With defensive tackles Hall and Davis ruled out, the Browns will be thin on the interior of their offensive line against the Jets.
Hall left the game against the Steelers with what looked like a serious leg injury. But he was able to return and had one of Cleveland’s five sacks of Aaron Rodgers. He has an ankle injury, and Davis, who was a limited participant at practice on Wednesday, has a quad injury.
Jenkins, a guard, has been troubled by a back injury that dates back to training camp and has yet to play this season. Tight end Ryan, with a calf injury, was a limited participant on Wednesday. Wide receiver Wallace suffered a knee injury on a kickoff against the Steelers, which may have led the Browns to hold a workout with James Proche this week.
Gabriel is working his way back from a back injury the quarterback suffered in the final preseason game. After beginning the year on injured reserve, the Browns opened his 21-day practice window this week.
Other players on the Browns’ injury report this week included defensive end Derek Barnett (ankle), cornerback Mekhi Blackmon (back), safety Grant Delpit (shoulder), and center Elgton Jenkins (concussion). Jenkins sat out the game against Pittsburgh, and Delpit made an interception on the Browns’ final defensive play.
Hopefully, most of these other players will be available when the Browns take on the Jets at MetLife Stadium, looking for their fourth win in a row.
