The Cleveland Browns are all set to go on Sunday as they head east to take on the New York Jets with a couple of extra days of rest after last Thursday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are looking to match their longest winning streak since 1986 behind a rejuvenated Deshaun Watson, though unfortunately, he will be a little lighter in the pockets going into this matchup.
He may have received a $230 million fully-guaranteed contract from the Browns, but every dollar counts these days, and hopefully Watson has saved his money, because he and Quinshon Judkins are going to have a little extra motivation heading into this Jets game.
Tom Pelissero shared that Watson and Judkins were both fined just under $15,000 each for unsportsmanlike conduct last Thursday.
“The NFL fined Browns QB Deshaun Watson $14,926 and RB Quinshon Judkins $14,397 for unsportsmanlike conduct (illegal celebrations and vulgar acts). Nothing was obvious on the TV broadcast, but source said it was a “smoking” gesture after Judkins’ TD last week,” said Pelissero.

Judkins and Watson’s celebration came after Judkins scored his first touchdown of the season in the second quarter to give the Browns the lead for good. Judkins had his best overall game of the year with 96 total yards and he will look to build upon that momentum against the Jets on Sunday.
On the positive side, it’s nice to see a little team chemistry between two pivotal players on this offense. Perhaps they can come up with a different celebration for their next touchdown, but at least they are bonding and the vibes are high.
