The vibes are high in Cleveland these days as the Browns are 3-1 and getting set to take on the New York Jets in an attempt to extend this winning streak to four games. The Guardians are also on their way to the ALCS and the Cavaliers are gearing up for another run at an NBA Finals, so it’s definitely a fun time to be not only a Browns fan, but a Cleveland sports fan in general.
With the Browns on a nice roll, instead of them blowing up the roster like many would have presumed would happen prior to this season, this team is now in a position to be buyers at the trade deadline.
Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot shared that in light of Saturday’s breaking news that the Arizona Cardinals are in the process of trading former top-five pick Marvin Harrison Jr. to an undisclosed team. Cabot made it clear that the Browns are not that mystery team.
“Browns are not the Marvin Harrison team, btw,” Cabot said.

Harrison’s name had surfaced in trade rumors quite a bit in recent weeks, but the way this has unfolded has been puzzling. He won’t play Sunday as the Cardinals work to get a deal done, but it’s atypical to hear that a player has been traded without finding out immediately what team they were traded to.
Some reports point to him winding up with the Houston Texans, but regardless, he won’t be joining this young and exciting wide receiver room in Cleveland. He’d be an intriguing piece to add into the mix, but all the focus right now is on the development of KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston, and Harold Fannin Jr. in the passing game. Harrison might be one too many young mouths to feed and might not be the best fit for both parties.
Jerry Jeudy’s name has come up in trade rumors as well, but it’s important for the Browns to avoid rocking the boat right now. This team is on a roll and it’s too early to make any reactionary decisions. Let’s see what this team can do over the next month or so and find out if this hot start is for real.
