Some of the most damaging injuries are the ones that surface after the final whistle. A player can finish a game and still leave the stadium with uncertainty hanging over him, and teams often spend the next few days waiting on answers. For the Browns, Sunday’s loss produced more of those question marks than anyone would have liked. Another key defender was spotted with an injury concern on the way out of MetLife Stadium.
Ashley Bastock of Cleveland.com shared the latest, reporting that Carson Schwesinger is leaving the stadium in a walking boot.

Carson Schwesinger is the 2nd Browns starter seen in a boot after the game, joining running back Quinshon Judkins, who had one on his right foot in the locker room. The team has yet to provide an update on either player.
The timing is frustrating considering how well Schwesinger played. He finished with 8 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble against the Jets, one of the most productive performances on a defense that kept the Browns within striking distance all afternoon.
He has quickly become a cornerstone of Mike Rutenberg’s defense. The Browns made him the first pick of the 2nd round in 2025, and his range allows him to make plays from sideline to sideline while also holding up in coverage.
If he misses time, the linebacker room would lean heavily on Quincy Williams, who had a monster day with 10 tackles and 3 forced fumbles.
The defense is already dealing with absences. Mason Graham is out with MCL and ankle sprains, leaving the interior of the line thin, and losing Schwesinger would remove another playmaker from the middle of the field.
Few opponents would test that more than the Baltimore Ravens, who visit on Sunday. Lamar Jackson is at his most dangerous when he escapes the pocket, and the Browns need fast, disciplined linebackers to keep him from breaking contain.
The growing injury list is a big concern. Graham, KC Concepcion, Judkins and now Schwesinger are all dealing with injuries, and the Browns are learning how quickly a thin roster can be stretched.
More clarity should come in the next few days. If the boot turns out to be precautionary, it will be a huge sigh of relief. If not, Andrew Berry may need to look for reinforcements, and the trade deadline conversation could shift from luxury to necessity.
