Practice squads rarely draw much attention, but they shift constantly during the season. Teams use those spots to cover injuries, bring in fresh bodies for scout-team work and keep insurance close by in case they need it on game day. A busy Tuesday on the transaction wire usually says something about where a team is feeling stretched. The Browns had one of those Tuesdays as they prepare for the Tennessee Titans.
Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com shared that the Browns made 6 roster moves.
“#Browns have signed T Andrew Coker, P Wes Pahl & S John Saunders to the practice squad. They released TE Devin Culp & DT Chris Williams from the practice squad and placed WR Bub Means (knee) on practice squad/injured.”

The most eye-catching addition is a punter. Wes Pahl spent 3 seasons at Oklahoma State after starting his career at Western Kentucky, and his 64 punts, 2,975 yards and 46.5-yard average all led the Big 12 in 2025. It is unclear whether the move is tied to any concern with Corey Bojorquez, who has handled punting and held for every one of Andre Szmyt’s kicks, or whether Pahl is simply a developmental option.
Andrew Coker adds size to the offensive line. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound tackle played at TCU, and he joins a group that has allowed 13 sacks over the last 2 games. Coker comes a week after the Browns signed guard Vershon Lee, a sign the front office is searching for depth up front.
John Saunders gives the secondary another body. The Ole Miss product arrives after Grant Delpit left Sunday’s win over the Baltimore Ravens with a concussion, and depth behind Delpit and rookie Emmanuel McNeil-Warren could be needed over the next few weeks.
The departures are worth noting, too. Chris Williams was elevated from the practice squad for each of the last 2 games while the interior of the defensive line was depleted, recording a tackle and a quarterback hit against Baltimore. Players can be elevated only 3 times in a season before a team must sign them, and his release could signal the Browns expect more help to return soon, possibly including Mason Graham.
Devin Culp lasts only a week after signing. The former Washington tight end, a 2024 7th-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has 6 career catches for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Bub Means landed on practice squad/injured with a knee issue. The 6-foot-2 receiver was a 5th-round pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2024 and caught 9 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown as a rookie.
None of these moves will change the outlook for Sunday, but they show how hard the Browns are working to keep a thin roster afloat. At 4-2 and on top of the AFC North, every piece of depth matters, and Andrew Berry is clearly not waiting for the trade deadline to start making adjustments.
