You can’t build a great NFL team without having strong chemistry, and with a new coaching regime in town and so many moving parts this offseason, culture is going to be more important than ever in 2026. The Browns are coming off a five-win season and don’t know who their quarterback is, but there is a lot of reason for optimism heading into what should be an exciting NFL Draft.
While the starting quarterback question doesn’t need to be answered for quite some time, there is recent smoke around Deshaun Watson taking his job back in Week 1. The news has rubbed some people the wrong way, and with Watson now doing workouts with some of his teammates this offseason, there is now even more fuel for this fire.
No. 1 wide receiver Jerry Jeudy shared a photo on his Instagram story Wednesday that captured him working out with Watson down in Florida. Watson threw passes to Jeudy ahead of the team’s offseason workout program, which begins next week.
“Deshaun Watson and Jerry Jeudy are throwing and working out down in Florida. The Browns offseason workout program begins next week,” ESPN Cleveland posted on X.

Of course, you don’t want to put a ton of stock into a workout, but it’s at least a bit notable that Jeudy was working out with Watson and not Sanders. There is still plenty of time for him to work out with Sanders as well, so make sure to keep an eye out for that development.
Jeudy took a big step back in 2025 after a breakout 2024 campaign and never looked to be on the same page with Sanders, Joe Flacco, or Dillon Gabriel last season. For a team so in need of an uptick in production from the receiver room, Jeudy getting on the same page with his potential QB1 is a critical development for Todd Monken’s new offense.
It’s hard to believe that Watson is even in the mix to be the starting quarterback again. All of us, including ESPN’s Adam Schefter, are beginning to come to terms with it.
Hopefully, if he is the starter again, he can dial back the clock and be close to the guy he was with the Houston Texans. Browns fans haven’t seen even a glimpse of that burgeoning superstar since the team acquired him, and it sounds like owner Jimmy Haslam is simply ready to finally get a return on his investment.
