At one point during their Week 11 matchup, it looked like the Cleveland Browns were going to upset the Baltimore Ravens. They were leading 16-10 at the end of the third quarter, and to that point, the Ravens’ offense looked mostly stagnant. Unfortunately for Browns fans, Lamar Jackson and Co. figured it out in the fourth, scoring 13 points and coming away with a much-needed win.
This loss was a roller coaster experience for the Browns and their fans, as Shedeur Sanders got his first taste of NFL action after Dillon Gabriel went down. He, unfortunately, was unable to rise to the occasion in his debut, going 4-16 and throwing for just 47 yards and an interception. While Sanders has gotten a lot of criticism about his performance, his teammates have tried to keep things positive, including veteran defender Myles Garrett, who was encouraging in a postgame presser.
Garrett told Sanders to keep his head up and not to be discouraged by the performance.
“Don’t be discouraged about one drive, two drives,” Garrett said, adding that he mentioned “it’s a team game.”

Browns Could Turn Back To Sanders Next Week
Garrett has seen his share of quarterbacks come in and out of the building, so he knows what it’s like for someone to have their first start in this offense. With any luck, Sanders will be able to use this as a learning experience, and if he gets more chances with the first team, he will likely give the team a more encouraging outing next time.
It’s currently unclear how long Gabriel will be out, so there’s a possibility that Sanders could get the nod next week. If that’s the case, it will be interesting to see what changes he and the coaching staff make to get him back on track and where they’d like him to be as an NFL QB.
