The Cleveland Browns are hoping to improve their record in 2026, and that shouldn’t be too hard. Even though they did better in 2025 than in 2024, the bar is still set fairly low for this team. Speaking on ESPN Cleveland, Chris Oldach showed his belief in the Browns and the team they are building.
He doesn’t think they will far exceed what they did in 2025, but he does feel that they’ll improve.
“Seven wins. What? Is that too high or too low? They won five games last year. They got better. Their weapons on offense are way better,” Oldach said.

The Browns picked up three wins in 2024, followed by five in 2025. The wish is that they can outdo their 2025 numbers, with some people even holding onto the hope of them beating both 2024 and 2025 combined.
Seven wins doesn’t feel too far out of reach when one looks at the roster changes that have come to Cleveland. General manager Andrew Berry got to work right away during the offseason and tried to address several problems. And the team’s ownership overhauled the coaching staff as well, injecting a brand new energy into the team.
But Tony Rizzo pushed back against Oldach’s prediction, and with good reason. He said that all the roster changes in the world don’t mean anything if the team hasn’t figured out its quarterback situation. Even though Todd Monken has finally decided on Deshaun Watson as QB1, that doesn’t solve all their problems, and there are still many questions about who is going to run the team’s offense in the future.
Many fans believe that 2026 will be a test. It’ll be a chance to see what Monken can do, how much new talent the team has, and what the roster could look like moving forward. It’ll also be an opportunity for the Browns to decide who will be their quarterback in the long term.
That may not result in a lot more wins, but it might feel like starting a new, promising chapter.
