The Los Angeles Chargers have gotten off to a bad start in 2026, having a painful 0-4 record and leaving their fans questioning what comes next. The Chargers are obviously being talked about as potential trade partners right now, and they could make some drastic moves in order to get back on track.
Is anyone off limits in a potential trade? Speaking on 92.3 The Fan, Mary Kay Cabot was asked about pass rusher Khalil Mack.
Cabot wouldn’t commit to a potential trade for Mack, but she said the Browns could definitely kick around the idea.
“I’ve seen that speculated…I would certainly explore something like that and I know the Browns always do. I would probably go ahead and give that a whirl,” Cabot said.

Just about every team in the NFL wants more pass rush help, including the Browns. But they might be even more driven to make a move like this because they’re doing better than expected. They actually have a chance at being a playoff team right now, and they want to capitalize on that instead of letting their hopes fade away. Mack could be key to strengthening the roster and their chances of a playoff run.
Mack has three sacks in four games so far, and plenty of experience after more than ten years in the league. Making him even more attractive is the fact that the Chargers would likely let him go for an agreeable price. The Browns would be silly not to at least consider it.
Unfortunately for them, Cleveland wouldn’t be the only team vying for Mack if the Chargers decide to let him go. The competition for the 35-year-old star would be intense, and the Browns would be going up against some teams that have much better chances of reaching the playoffs and, therefore, much higher urgency to make a deal.
A lot of NFL experts are predicting that Mack will be packing his bags; it’s just a matter of Los Angeles finding the right trade partner.
If the Browns are really serious about acquiring him, they need to be putting a plan together right now because the race to get Mack could move quickly.
