Being a part of an NFL team is a huge honor and usually the most memorable accomplishment that football players will achieve during their lives. However, it doesn’t come without its own form of hazing and pranks.
The Cleveland Browns recently welcomed linebacker Justin Jefferson to the team in a very unique way. A video posted online shows that the team took the pleasure of wrapping Jefferson’s car in cellophane. On top of that, they filled his ride with packing peanuts.
To make matters even worse and really hammer home the idea of the prank, they also took the wheels off of Jefferson’s car.
“Someone give bro a ride home,” NFL on FOX posted.

The rookie took the joke in stride, forging a smile while his teammates laughed at him.
Jefferson has only been part of the team for a few months after being drafted in the fifth round as the 149th overall pick. Since then, he has participated in the offseason with the Browns, taken part in preseason activities, and has appeared in one game.
When Jefferson was added to the team, he was seen as someone who could assist with the problems Cleveland had against the pass rush in 2025. At six feet tall and 223 pounds, he can get in the way of plenty of opponents.
Jefferson hasn’t done much during his short tenure with the Browns, at least not so far. But this prank, and the video evidence, proves that the team has brought him in as one of their own. They wouldn’t pull this sort of stunt on just anyone. They obviously like the 23-year-old rookie and are happy to have him on board.
Rookie pranks aren’t new. NFL teams have been doing stuff like this for generations. And as annoying as it may be, this is a rite of passage for Jefferson, and he was probably happy to see it because it means he’s officially part of the team.
Plus, it’s likely that the rest of the team helped him clean up the funny mess they created.
