There are rumors that Jerry Jeudy may be entering his final weeks with the Cleveland Browns with the NFL trade deadline approaching. If that is the case, the veteran wide receiver would depart with a lasting memory.
With less than a minute to go in the Browns’ Week 6 game against the Baltimore Ravens, Jeudy caught a 33-yard pass from Deshaun Watson that put Cleveland in field goal range. After three clock-draining running plays and an offside penalty, Andre Szmyt made a 37-yard kick to give the Browns a 13-10 comeback victory.
Jeudy finished with a season-high four catches and 69 yards, allowing him to notch an impressive career feat as he reached 5,000 receiving yards.
“A big game for Jerry to cement an even bigger moment in his career,” the Browns posted.

A first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, Jeudy now has 5,034 yards on 363 career receptions. It was reasonable to think Jeudy would have reached the milestone much sooner, but after posting 90 catches for 1,229 yards following his offseason trade to the Browns in 2024, his production has dropped significantly over the past two years.
In 2025, he had 50 receptions for 602 yards, and this year, he had just two catches in the first three games and could be seen sulking on the bench. In Week 4, he made two important receptions on another game-winning field goal drive against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he drew a season-high seven targets in a Week 5 loss to the New York Jets.
On Sunday, Jeudy came through when Cleveland needed him and earned a game ball. That might enhance his trade value to teams around the league, but with the Browns in first place in the AFC North and a legitimate contender themselves, they may decide to hold on to him to help with their own playoff push.
Jeudy looked to be surpassed by rookies Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion in the Browns’ passing game, but he was their top wideout against the Ravens, and he could wind up with a bigger role going forward than anyone expected just a few days ago.
