The Cleveland Browns took home a win in Week 6, beating the Baltimore Ravens and moving their record to 4-2. This put them at a three-way tie with the Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers atop the AFC North, a pleasant result given preseason expectations.
While the defense has been solid for years, their offense has constantly left something to be desired. There were plenty of questions about the team’s quarterback play heading into the year, and along with it, people wondered how their new pass-catchers and offensive linemen would work together.
Six weeks isn’t the largest of sample sizes, but whatever they’re doing seems to be working. For the second straight year, the Browns have started the year leaning heavily on their youngest pass-catchers. Rookies Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion lead the team in receiving yards, and second-year tight end Harold Fannin Jr. is third.
Jerry Jeudy’s numbers have been surprisingly light to this point, especially since he was a 1,000-yard receiver on this team two seasons ago. Not getting targeted as much as younger players could be viewed as a slight to some veterans, but at least, according to the comments he made in an interview with Ashly Holder, Jeudy seems fine with his standing on the roster.
“Once your number is called, make a play, and that’s what I did,” Jeudy said.

He was called upon more than normal in this Week 6 win over the Ravens, leading the team in yards with 69 and hauling in all four of his targets. This could be a sign of things to come, as Watson seemed to trust him down the stretch in this must-win game against a divisional foe.
Jeudy is a former first-round pick, and he was expected to do great things when he got into the league. His best season to date came on the Browns in 2024, so it will be interesting to see if he can find some momentum and turn into the true No. 1 option that he was drafted to be.
