The Cleveland Browns have a big opportunity to move to 5-2 this week with a winnable matchup agains the 1-5 Tennessee Titans on the schedule. Cleveland will be looking to start another winning streak and build off last week’s momentum gained from a big win over the Baltimore Ravens where the defense thrived and held Baltimore to just ten points.
It was an impressive performance considering the fact that the defense was missing some key contributors due to injury, particularly Mason Graham. The rising star defensive tackle has missed the last two games as he recovers from the MCL and ankle sprains he suffered against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4, but the team got a major update on his status on Wednesday.
Camryn Justice of WEWS shared a clip of Graham at practice on Wednesday as he looks to be trending toward a return against the Titans.
“#Browns DT Mason Graham continued practicing today as he aims to return this week from the MCL sprain and ankle sprain he sustained in Week 4,” Justice said.

Graham was having a major breakout prior to going down with the injury. He logged 15 tackles and four sacks over the first three games after registering just 0.5 sacks as a rookie last season.
It’s exactly the kind of production this team needs in the wake of the Myles Garrett trade. Nobody expects a single player to make up for losing Garrett’s 23 sacks from last season, but if a number of different young talents can step up like Graham, Garrett’s production can be replaced in the aggregate.
If he’s practicing already at this point in the week, it seems like a safe bet that he’ll be available on Sunday. The Titans are coming off their first win of the season and will be looking to take down the Browns for the second year in a row, so it will be important to have the young star back in the trenches to help avoid falling victim to a trap game.
