The Cleveland Browns have a daunting task ahead of them as they head off to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. They haven’t won a regular-season road game against their division rivals since 2003.
Fortunately, it looks like the Browns will be close to full strength with first place in the AFC North on the line. That should give Cleveland a good chance to sweep the season series against Pittsburgh for the first time since 1988.
According to Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland, the Browns got good news on a key lineman before Sunday’s game, with Tytus Howard cleared from concussion protocol and able to start at right tackle.
“Tytus Howard has cleared concussion protocol and has no injury status for tomorrow’s game,” Justice posted.

Howard left last week’s game against the Tennessee Titans early in the third quarter. He was replaced by Dawand Jones, who nearly became the goat for Cleveland, as he looked to commit a false start penalty, which was not called, prior to a 36-yard pass to Harold Fannin that set up the game-winning field goal in the 27-24 victory.
Cleveland’s offensive line was finally able to show an improved running game at Tennessee, with Quinshon Judkins gaining a season-high 96 yards and two touchdowns. The Browns will be challenged by the Steelers on Sunday, specifically by edge rushers Alex Highsmith and T.J. Watt, who managed just one sack and five tackles combined in Cleveland’s 27-24 win in Week 4.
Two other Browns are questionable on the final injury report, after Cleveland started the week with 10 players listed. Cornerback Myles Harden and defensive back Daniel Thomas have been limited participants in practice, which bodes well for their availability on Sunday.
In addition, the Browns will elevate rookie tight end Carsen Ryan from the practice squad. The seventh-round pick from the 2026 NFL Draft was waived to make room for quarterback Dillon Gabriel on the practice squad, but he will be able to play in his seventh game.
Cleveland will be facing a difficult assignment at Acrisure Stadium, but there will be no injury concerns holding it back.
