Nobody expected the Cleveland Browns to be 3-1 at this point in the 2026 season with only the New York Jets standing between them and matching their longest winning streak in 40 years. Cleveland is gunning to run this winning streak to four behind a revamped offense and a completely new culture led by first-year head coach Todd Monken.
This team has improved in so many different ways and has forced both the front office and the fans to reevaluate what the immediate future of this team is going to look like. This is no longer just a bridge year to get to the 2027 draft and one analyst recently pointed out what the biggest area of improvement has been so far.
During a recent episode of Wake Up with Earl Da Pearl and Nick Pedone on 92.3 The Fan, Cleveland.com’s Lance Reisland stopped by to talk about this exciting season the Browns are having. He believes that the biggest change so far is what is happening with the culture.
“Obviously, the rookies have been outstanding…but, I would say, defensively, it’s the physicality. This is a physical football team who thinks they can win. More than anything physically or schematically, they believe they can win,” said Reisland.

This organization has had a losing culture for decades. Even though there have been brief runs during that span where the Browns were fairly consistent winners, it never lasted, and the team has never shaken this narrative among fans league-wide.
They’re still far from shaking the loser narrative, but this team only needs to worry about what it can control. Todd Monken has this team believing in itself and it’s clear through the body language on the field that his message is getting through.
The rookies truly have been outstanding. Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, Spencer Fano, Austin Barber, and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren have been outstanding thus far, but a big reason why they are thriving is because of this new culture that Monken is establishing. These rookies have stepped into a healthy situation and they all believe they can win every week.
