Postgame celebrations can quickly give way to concern. Even after a big win, teams are left waiting on medical evaluations for players who fought through injuries or picked up new ones during the game. Those trips to the training room often say more than any injury report. The Browns were left with one of those moments after Sunday’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
Zac Jackson of The Athletic shared what he saw after the game. He reported that Carson Schwesinger was walking to the X-Ray room.
“Carson Schwesinger walking to the x-ray room,” Jackson said.

There is no indication yet of what Carson Schwesinger was being checked for, and a trip for imaging does not automatically mean a serious injury. Teams often take precautionary scans after physical games, especially for players who were already managing an ailment.
Still, the timing is concerning. Schwesinger entered the game listed as questionable with an ankle injury after leaving MetLife Stadium in a walking boot last week. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and was limited on Friday before playing through it on Sunday.
His performance made his toughness obvious. Schwesinger finished with 13 tackles and a forced fumble, which Tyson Campbell recovered, as the Browns held Baltimore scoreless over the final 3 quarters of a 13-10 win.
That followed an 8-tackle, 1-sack effort against the New York Jets, making him one of the most productive defenders on the roster during a stretch when the Browns have been without several key starters.
Losing him would hurt. The defense is already playing without Mason Graham and Mike Hall Jr. on the interior, and Grant Delpit left Sunday’s game with a concussion. Schwesinger has been a stabilizing force in the middle of Mike Rutenberg’s defense.
If he misses time, Quincy Williams would anchor the linebacker room. Williams, who posted the top defensive grade in the league in Week 5, added 6 tackles and a sack against Baltimore.
The Browns are now 4-2 and sitting in 1st place in the AFC North, but holding that position will depend heavily on getting healthy. A clean result for Schwesinger would be a welcome bit of news after an emotional win, while anything more serious would add yet another name to a growing injury list as the season reaches its midpoint.
