One Browns player Quietly Made NFL History Against Steelers

The Cleveland Browns made a statement on Thursday Night when they got a huge win over their divisional rivals. They earned a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers to improve to 3-1 on the season.

That’s not all that happened; the Browns also made history during Thursday’s victory. Corey Bojorquez put himself in the history books with his performance during Thursday’s game.

“Browns P Corey Bojorquez averaged 61.2 YARDS PER PUNT last night. He became just the 14th punter in NFL history to average 60+ yards on at least four punts in a game,” Polymarket Football posted.

Yes, you’re reading that correctly. Bojorquez averaged over 60 yards per punt in Week 4. He punted the ball four times for 251 yards, including a long of 81 yards. He pinned the Steelers inside the 20-yard line once and was truly a difference maker on Thursday night.

After Thursday’s win, Bojorquez is tied for second in the league with 16 punts. He’s also second in the league with an average punt of 51.4 yards, and is first with a long of 81 yards, which happened on Thursday. The Browns have one of the best punters on their hands right now.

This year marks the fifth season that Bojorquez has been with the Browns. He has led the league in punts in each of the last two seasons. He has also led the league in total punt yardage in each of the last two seasons. Bojorquez has finished with over 4,000 punt yards during the past three seasons.

It’s probably not a good thing that Bojorquez is leading the league in punts, but at least he’s one of the better punters in the league. He has done an excellent job of punting through the first four games of the season. Often, special teams are an afterthought, but it’s extremely important at the end of the day. The Browns fans should be very happy with what Bojorquez has done over the last five years in Cleveland.
