It’s not often that the Cleveland Browns are the favorite for awards. They’ve played good football early in the season, and some of their players might be earning some hardware if they continue this level of play throughout the season.
Heading into Week 6, one Browns rookie is currently running away with the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. According to Kalshi Sports, wide receiver Denzel Boston is the favorite to win the award right now.
“Week 6 NFL OROY Rankings, via Kalshi: 1. Denzel Boston (33%),” Kalshi Sports posted.

5. Carson Beck (3%)
6. Germie Bernard (3%)
7. KC Concepcion (3%)

There are still a lot of games left to play, but it’s great to see Boston already being the frontrunner for the award. He has been playing above expectations and has outperformed his fellow wideouts through the first five games of the season.
The next closest candidates to winning the award are Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate and Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love. Both players are over 15 percent right now, but are still well behind Boston, which is over a 30 percent favorite to win the award.
Through the first five games, Boston has recorded 16 receptions with 330 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He currently leads the league in yards per reception at 20.6, heading into Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. The 22-year-old has been by far the best wideout on this roster through the first handful of games this season.
The expectation was that Boston was going to be good, but the Browns likely didn’t think he’d be the top option on the team by Week 6. They actually selected fellow wideout KC Concepcion ahead of Boston during this year’s draft. They took Boston in the second round out of Washington. Boston was expected to be a big red-zone target after hauling in 20 touchdowns over his final two years at Washington.
The Browns very well could’ve ended up with the top wide receiver in the draft. It’s still extremely early, but Boston has played well above expectations. If he keeps up this pace all season long, then he should have no problems running away with Rookie of the Year honors.
