Ken Carman and his crew recently invited Pittsburgh sports analyst Andrew Fillipponi on 92.3 The Fan. They shouldn’t have been surprised by his take on the Cleveland Browns’ current 4-2 record, but they still didn’t like it.
When asked what he makes of the Browns’ stronger-than-expected record, Fillipponi had one single word for Carman and all fans of the team.
“Fraudulent,” he said.
“Fraudulent.”

Obviously, Carman wasn’t happy to hear that, but he was reminded that it’s not just Fillipponi and Steelers fans who don’t believe in, or don’t like, what the Browns are doing. It was pointed out that there are plenty of people who support Cleveland and aren’t content with how the team is succeeding right now.
That may sound surprising, but there are plenty of people who are still very upset about seeing Deshaun Watson on the field week after week. They don’t like that Watson is still with the team. Even though he’s helped the Browns secure an impressive start to the year, those people aren’t happy.
Those people need to accept that Watson is the lead quarterback for the team, because it doesn’t seem like he is going away any time soon. No matter what next season and the future hold, Todd Monken is likely going to stick with Watson throughout 2026, unless something unexpected happens.
As for Fillipponi and other non-supporters, they are all waiting for the Browns to come crashing down. They can’t believe that the team is at the top of the AFC North, and they feel that eventually they will play like they used to and be the subpar team they were last year. They don’t believe this robust start is legitimate, and they are simply waiting for the Browns to prove it.
The Browns should use those doubts as motivation to play their hearts out. They know there are a lot of people rooting against them, for a number of reasons.
Playing well would be the best revenge.
