Big moments in the NFL often come with a little extra fanfare. Players know when the spotlight is about to hit, and some lean into it rather than shy away from it. For a quarterback who has spent most of the season waiting behind the starter, the night before a first start is a chance to set the tone. Shedeur Sanders is clearly embracing the opportunity in front of him.
Sanders released a new hype video Saturday ahead of his matchup with the Saints.

The video leans heavily on highlights from his rookie season, and that is a fitting choice. Sanders took over as the starter late in 2025 and won his final 2 starts to close the year. Those games are the strongest evidence he has that he can handle the job, and he is reminding everyone of them heading into Sunday.
This is not a player who backs away from attention. Sanders has been in the spotlight since his days at Jackson State and Colorado, and his slide to the 5th round of the 2025 draft only made him a bigger story.
It also comes at the end of a busy week. Sanders took the 1st team reps after Deshaun Watson entered the concussion protocol, and the Browns officially named him the starter Friday.
Hype videos are fun for Browns fans, but Sunday will be about execution. The Saints are coming off their bye and are 2.5-point favorites at home. The offensive line allowed 8 sacks in Pittsburgh, and Harold Fannin Jr. and Denzel Boston were both limited in practice this week.
Todd Monken said earlier this week that he could not wait to see Sanders let it rip. If Sanders plays with the same swagger he showed in this video, the Browns could get the spark they need after their worst offensive performance of the season.
Watson has led the NFL with 5 game-winning drives this season, so the bar for the offense in close games is high. Sanders does not need to be perfect, but he does need to give Cleveland a chance late.
Browns fans will find out Sunday whether this week’s buildup carries over to the field.
