Skip Bayless Calls For Browns To Trade Shedeur Sanders

The Cleveland Browns decision to hand Deshaun Watson the Week 1 starting job has sparked another round of national debate, and Skip Bayless took his reaction a step further than most by calling for the organization to move on from Shedeur Sanders entirely.  Bayless argued that Cleveland no longer deserves to have Sanders on its roster, going as far as suggesting a specific landing spot where he believes the second-year passer could make an immediate impact.

Bayless did not hold back when explaining why he believes Sanders should be traded away from Cleveland.

“The Cleveland Browns don’t deserve Shedeur Sanders. Deshaun Watson will start, and it’s not a week to week thing, that he has been given the job for the season by the Cleveland Browns. This sorry ass franchise does not deserve to have Shedeur Sanders on its roster anymore. I wish there were some way that Jimmy Haslam and Todd Monken would decide, as we near the season, to get rid of Shedeur, to set him free, to trade him elsewhere. I’d love to see Shedeur in Atlanta. Do I think Shedeur Sanders this coming football season could win more games than Penix or Tua could win? You better believe that I do. Shedeur Sanders is better than either quarterback that the Atlanta Falcons have right now that they’re trying to decide between,” Bayless said.

Sanders closed out last season with 2 wins as the starter and has continued building on that momentum. Now, he simply needs to wait for his next opportunity. Whether the front office would even entertain such a move remains highly unlikely.
