By the middle of the season, success often comes down to who is still healthy. Every team is banged up by late October, but contenders usually get key players back before the schedule gets tougher. Wednesday’s injury report is the first look each week at where a roster stands. The Browns’ latest report brought some encouraging signs along with a few new concerns.
Derek Barnett, Denzel Boston, Maliek Collins, KC Concepcion, Kalia Davis, Grant Delpit, Dillon Gabriel, Mason Graham, Mike Hall Jr., Tytus Howard, Justin Jefferson, Elgton Jenkins, Teven Jenkins, Quinshon Judkins, Dylan Sampson and Carson Schwesinger were all listed on Cleveland’s first injury report of the week.
Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com shared the report ahead of Sunday’s trip to face the Tennessee Titans.

Graham brought the best news. The 2nd-year defensive tackle was limited with knee and ankle injuries. Last week he did not practice on Wednesday and was not on the field until a limited session Friday. He has missed the last 2 games and still leads the team with 4 sacks.
Judkins was also limited with an ankle injury after missing the win over the Baltimore Ravens. Sampson was limited as he works back from a knee injury. If either can play, Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin will not have to carry the backfield alone.
Collins, Howard and Barnett were all limited. Gabriel practiced fully with his deadline to come off injured reserve approaching, and rookie linebacker Jefferson was a full participant despite a hip injury.
The biggest concern is Schwesinger. He did not practice because of the ankle injury he played through against Baltimore, when he made 13 tackles and forced the fumble that turned the game.
Delpit also sat out with concussion and shoulder injuries after leaving Sunday’s game. If he cannot play, rookie Emmanuel McNeil-Warren could start again.
The offensive line has problems as well. Center Elgton Jenkins missed practice with a knee injury, and guard Teven Jenkins sat out again with a back issue. Hall and Davis also did not practice.
Concepcion is a new name to watch. He cleared the concussion protocol last week but was limited Wednesday with calf and quad injuries. Boston was limited again with the foot injury he played through Sunday.
The Titans have a much shorter list. Receiver Calvin Ridley was limited with a hip injury, while running back Tyjae Spears and defensive lineman Jonathan Franklin-Myers got the day off to rest.
Sunday’s game in Tennessee starts a 2-week road stretch that ends in Pittsburgh. The Browns’ hold on 1st place in the AFC North could depend on how many of these players are available, and Thursday and Friday’s reports will show which way things are going.
