The Cleveland Browns had arguably the NFL’s worst wide receiver room last season. Outside of Jerry Jeudy, who saw his production halved across the board compared to his breakout 2024 season, nobody established themselves as a consistently reliable option for the future.
The only holdover aside from Jeudy who could have any relevance in the 2026 version of this offense is Isaiah Bond, who displayed some impressive downfield explosiveness in his limited playing time. To solve this position group’s lack of top-tier talent, GM Andrew Berry didn’t hesitate to double dip in the draft and bring in KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, who are both widely expected to make a substantial impact right away.
Zain Dhanani of Matthew Berry’s Fantasy Life recently shared a clip from Lance Reisland’s recent episode of The Orange and Brown Talk podcast. Reisland opined that Todd Monken could have enough confidence in this receiver room to operate in 11 personnel (one tight end and one running back) a lot more than he did with the Baltimore Ravens.
“That’s what makes this Monken-style offense great,” Reisland said. “It’s not system based, it’s player based. He’s going to put his best five skill guys out there. And right now, to me, that’s 11 personnel.”

Playing out of 11 personnel would allow Monken to have Jeudy, Concepcion, Boston, and Harold Fannin all on the field together at the same time. The Browns didn’t have the personnel to succeed in three-receiver sets last year, but the presence of these rookies completely changes things on that front and puts Concepcion in a role where he can potentially be relevant right away regardless of how shaky this quarterback position is.
A lot of analysts project Concepcion to operate heavily out of the slot given Jeudy and Boston’s bigger frames that project better on the outside. His versatility plays perfectly in a Monken offense and it’s easy for Browns fans to get excited about the idea of Concepcion operating similarly to how Zay Flowers did under Monken in Baltimore.
There’s a reason why Berry selected Concepcion so high in the draft. There is a reason why so many ball-knowers are ecstatic about what he can be in this offense. He is a weapon unlike anything the Browns have had in quite some time and he should make this offense much more watchable right away.
