One Browns Rookie Is Living Up To The Scouting Hype

The Cleveland Browns worked hard during the draft process in the offseason, and it looks like it paid off. They have brought in some very promising rookies for 2026, including wide receiver Denzel Boston.

Boston is currently the talk of the fanbase, and it’s clear why. While speaking on The McShay Show, Todd McShay and Steven Muench discussed why Boston is so special.

They noted his strength, speed, and the “savvy route-running” skills he showed, specifically during last week’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“He’s big and strong with an outstanding combination of length, physicality, movement skills, route-running savvy, and hands. We’ve seen this in the first two weeks. Obviously, he wasn’t as productive against Jacksonville. Tampa is obviously a better example. Overall, the report is, I would say, a home run,” Muench said.

In short, Boston is looking just as great as some of the scouting reports suggested during the draft process.

It’s important to remember that he has only played in two games so far. That means he has to keep it up and needs to keep delivering like he did during Week 2. But many rookies sometimes play inconsistently. They perform well one week, and then backslide the next. The hope is that Boston can keep building upon his strong start to the season.

The arrival of Boston has shaken up the Browns’ wide receiver room. There are now many questions about what is next for this unit, including Jerry Jeudy. The Browns are very happy with Boston’s output, but there is no doubt that his talent and youth are raising questions about the team’s future.
