KC Concepcion suffered one of the scarier injuries of the NFL season when the Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver was knocked out by a scary hit while facing the New York Jets in Week 5. Now, less than one week later, Concepcion is ready to get back on the field.
Insider Andrew Siciliano has provided a major injury update on Concepcion, who will be able to play in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens.
“Browns rookie WR KC Concepcion has cleared concussion protocol,” Siciliano posted.

As the Browns’ most-targeted pass catcher, Concepcion’s presence is a welcome sight. It looked like he might be out for multiple weeks after he was injured by Jets defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick attempting to catch a sideline pass in the first quarter at MetLife Stadium last Sunday. It had a significant impact on the Browns’ game plan, leading to a 17-12 loss.
The hit was questioned as dirty, but Browns head coach Todd Monken said he did not consider Fitzpatrick that type of player. Now, those thoughts will fade into the background with Concepcion able to make a rapid return.
A first-round pick from the 2026 NFL Draft, Concepcion was coming off his best game of the season. He had five receptions for 64 yards in Cleveland’s Week 4 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. For the season, he has 18 catches for 149 yards, but taking out two 25-yard receptions, that is 16 catches for just 99 yards.
Fellow rookie wideout Denzel Boston is also available after dealing with a foot injury. He has 16 catches for 330 yards, and his 20.6 yards-per-catch average is the best in the NFL.
Running back Quinshon Judkins returned to practice on Friday and is listed as questionable after suffering an ankle injury against the Jets. Offensive tackle Tytus Howard was removed from the injury report after leaving that game with a knee issue.
The Browns opened the week with 17 players on the injury report, so these positive developments certainly bode well for their much-anticipated rivalry game against the Ravens, with first place in the AFC North on the line at Huntington Bank Field.
