Some of a team’s biggest supporters do not wear a uniform on Sundays. Injured players watch from home or the sideline, celebrating every win while waiting for a chance to rejoin a team that has moved on without them. Their reactions often show how much a locker room means to them. One former Browns standout made his feelings clear right after Sunday’s win.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah shared his excitement after the Browns beat the Tennessee Titans 27-24.
“Rolling!!!!” Owusu-Koramoah posted.

The message carries extra weight considering what Owusu-Koramoah has been through. He has not played since October 2024, when he suffered a serious neck injury in a collision with Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry. He was carted off the field and hospitalized overnight before being released with movement in all of his extremities.
He has been on the reserve/physically unable to perform list ever since. The Browns announced in May that he would miss the 2026 season, his 2nd straight year away from the field.
That makes this week’s timing notable. Tuesday marks 2 years since the injury, and the anniversary comes as his former team sits in 1st place in the AFC North.
Before he got hurt, Owusu-Koramoah was one of the most dynamic defenders on the roster. The Browns took him in the 2nd round of the 2021 draft out of Notre Dame, and he made the Pro Bowl in 2023 as part of the defense that led the NFL in total yards allowed. He had started all 8 games in 2024 and led the team with 61 tackles before the injury.
The Browns showed their belief in him with a 3-year extension worth up to $39 million in August 2024, just weeks before the season started.
The linebacker room has carried on without him. Carson Schwesinger has developed into one of the defense’s most reliable players, and Quincy Williams posted the top defensive grade in the NFL in Week 5. They combined for 19 tackles on Sunday, and their speed in the middle of the field reflects the style Owusu-Koramoah helped establish.
Whatever comes next for Owusu-Koramoah, his message is a reminder that he is still part of this team in spirit.
