Few things feel better for a struggling player than answering critics with a big game. Running backs, in particular, hear plenty of noise when the yards are not there, and the frustration can build week after week. When the breakout finally comes, the celebration usually says it all. One Browns running back kept his short and simple on Sunday.
Quinshon Judkins shared his excitement after the 27-24 win over the Tennessee Titans with a three-word message.
“Cleveland stand up!” Judkins wrote.
Cleveland stand up!

Judkins earned the moment. He ran for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 carries, averaging 5.6 yards per carry, his most productive day of the season. He also added a catch for 8 yards.
His touchdowns came at important times. With the Browns trailing 14-0 in the 1st quarter, Judkins scored from 5 yards out to get Cleveland on the board. He later added a 6-yard touchdown that tied the game at 14 just before halftime, part of a 17-0 run that turned the game.
The performance came after a difficult week. Judkins missed the win over the Baltimore Ravens with an ankle injury after leaving MetLife Stadium in a walking boot, and he was limited in practice until Friday.
Then came the criticism. Many believed that Judkins had fallen short of expectations, pointing to an average of about 3 yards per carry.
Sunday did not erase those concerns, but it showed what Judkins can do when the blocking holds up. He had forced plenty of missed tackles all season while being hit near the line of scrimmage. With a cleaner front against Tennessee, he finally found room to run.
The rest of the backfield helped. Dylan Sampson added 45 yards on 6 carries in his return from a knee injury, and the Browns finished with 183 rushing yards, by far their best total of the season.
His message also fits the energy around this team. Monken praised the Browns fans who traveled to Nashville, and Judkins’ call to the city shows how much that support means to the players.
If Judkins can build on this performance, Cleveland’s offense will be much harder to stop.
