Sunday is going to be a fun one between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. The history between the two teams is well-documented with the Browns not having won in Pittsburgh since 2003 and not having swept the Steelers since 1988, but with both teams vying for first place in the AFC North at 5-2, Browns fans are hoping that this franchise has turned a corner.
Even though the Browns have a ton of young players on the roster and a rookie head coach, they are well aware of the enormity of Sunday’s battle. Monken tried to downplay the pressure of this matchup earlier in the week, but he isn’t fooling anybody and it has been entertaining to see the two sides jawing back and forth via the media.
Jared Verse stopped just short of guaranteeing a win on Sunday, but Steelers radio voice Andrew Fillipponi didn’t. He took to social media to put his declaration in writing.
“I GUARANTEE the Steelers will beat the Browns on Sunday. In fact I’m so sure. I will eat a bite of dog turd from the Dawg Pound dog clinic they have at the Browns facilities. OR. I’ll let a Browns fan smear dog poo on my face. Whatever is deemed safer by medical experts,” Fillipponi said.

That is quite grotesque, but hopefully if the Browns win, the Dawg Pound will do their best to hold him to this promise.
It’s a bold claim to make in regard to anything at all, but Steelers fans haven’t had any reason to believe that the Browns can beat them at home for years. Fillipponi is likely not alone in his confidence, especially now that they’re playing well.
There is no need to make a claim like this, but it would be fun locker room material for the Browns, and if the Browns win, Fillipponi can’t live this down.
