The Cleveland Browns are becoming one of the most exciting stories around the NFL and have only the 1-5 Tennessee Titans standing between them and a 5-2 start. Cleveland has a chance to maintain control of the AFC North and match last season’s win total, which is a huge testament to the work being done behind the scenes to turn this culture around.
Todd Monken, Deshaun Watson, and all the young talent have this city buzzing, but they can’t take their foot off the gas pedal with a trap game coming on Sunday. The Titans may seem like an easy win, but Tennessee beat the Browns last year and are coming off a 26-point second half last week to come back and beat the Indianapolis Colts.
During a recent episode of Afternoon Drive on 92.3 The Fan, Nick Wilson touched on the upcoming game and stressed the importance of falling victim to the trap game.
“In a moment where you’re finally favorited in a game, you should walk a little taller. Enjoy this one. Act like the favorite. Act like you’re playing the Titans,” Wilson said.

It is important to walk into this game with their heads held high, but you could’ve said the same when these teams met up last year. The Titans have left plenty of meat on the bone this year and could easily have a couple more wins than they currently do.
Shockingly, this is the first time the Browns have been favored in a game since the Wild Card loss to the Houston Texans in 2023-24. It doesn’t mean much, but it’s a sign that the tide is starting to turn a little bit for this organization.
With the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints up after the Titans game, the Browns better get used to being expected to win games because all three of these upcoming games are winnable. This hot start is getting less flukey by the week and each win is getting less surprising. Having already taken down the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, it’s time to start taking this team seriously.
