Baker Mayfield stepped up in a big way during the Cleveland Browns win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 13.
The fans recognized this as well, voting him as the FedEx Air Player of Week 13.

He won the fan vote in a landslide over QBs Matthew Stafford and Derek Carr, earning 70% of the total vote.
It is a well-deserved honor for the 25-year-old Mayfield, who had his best game of the season against the Titans.
He came out firing in the first half, catching the defense by surprise.
This resulted in Mayfield tying the team record for most TDs in the first half with four, a record set by Otto Graham in 1951.
His throws were quick, accurate and on time as he picked apart the Titans secondary.
By the time the game ended, he finished with a total of 334 passing yards, a passer rating 147.0, and a total QBR of 87.6.

All of this was good enough to earn Mayfield the award in the eyes of the fans.
This was the first time he has been nominated for the award this season.
He also won the AFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 7 after throwing for five TDs against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Now, Mayfield will look to continue his hot stretch this weekend.
Baker Catching Fire
The Browns are in the middle of a division race and their QB has stepped up in a big way.
Mayfield has started playing his best football over their past six games, with the team going 5-1 over that span.

This has been punctuated by a four-game stretch where Mayfield has been at his best.
Over their last three games, he has charted 200-plus yard passing performances as well.
For the Browns, this is a major development to their already dangerous offensive attack.
The team’s bread and butter has been with the running game this season.
With Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, the team is second in the NFL in rushing yards per game.
They also have the NFL’s best offensive line.
However, Mayfield’s success in the pocket has made teams wary of the Browns’ aerial attack, adding another worry for opposing defenses.
For the Browns to make some noise in the playoffs, he will need to continue playing well.
Sunday Matchup Against The Ravens
This Sunday, the Browns are heading into a big primetime matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens (7-5) sit just below the Browns (9-3) in the standings.
With a win, the Browns can nearly clinch their spot in the playoffs.
It should also be a good test for the team’s offense, as the Ravens are better defensively than the Titans are.
For Baker, this will be a great test to see if he can be a leader for this team in the playoffs.
While he may not need to have as good of a game that he had against the Titans, a mistake free game will help tremendously.
Each week, the Browns are looking to make a statement that they belong in this playoff picture.
Baker Mayfield has led that charge, and he will need to keep it up this Sunday.
