The Cleveland Browns are clearly hard at work, pushing through practices and the preseason and preparing for the 2026 season, which is right around the corner.
They have already been very active, but they aren’t done yet. On Thursday, the team announced a couple of minor moves that caught the eye of fans.
The Browns have added some tight end depth, signing Drew Biber while making a related roster move involving Jack Stoll.
“We’ve signed TE Drew Biber and placed TE Jack Stoll on injured reserve,” the Browns posted.

Cleveland placed Stoll on injured reserve, opening the door for Biber to join the team. The move gives the Browns another option at tight end as they continue re-shaping their roster for the upcoming year.
The 28-year-old Stoll entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2021. He immediately made an impression by earning a spot on Philadelphia’s roster.
Since then, his NFL journey has taken him through several franchises. The Giants signed Stoll to a one-year contract ahead of the 2024 season, but he did not survive the team’s final roster cuts.
Stoll eventually returned to Philadelphia before the Eagles waived him in November. The Miami Dolphins then claimed him off waivers, giving him another opportunity to continue his NFL career.
He appeared in 15 games with the New Orleans Saints in 2025, posting six receptions on 11 targets.
His move to injured reserve creates an opening that Biber will look to fill. For Cleveland, the signing provides additional depth at a position that can play an important role in both the passing game and the offense’s blocking packages.
Biber, a rookie from Minnesota, was originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent. Cleveland will be his first shot at showing what he can do on the field, and he is surely hoping to make a strong impression and earn a recurring role in the lineup.
With Stoll on the injured reserve, Biber now has a chance to shine, but it’s not clear how much success he’ll have.
