The Cleveland Browns are making use of their practice squad once again as they get ready to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Interestingly, linebacker Nathaniel Watson is getting the call for a second week in a row.
In addition, cornerback Noah Igbinoghene has been added to the injury report after not being included during the week. That could present a problem if starter Tyson Campbell, who is also listed as questionable, is limited in any way.
The Browns announced those two roster moves on Saturday ahead of the Bucs game.
“We’ve elevated LB Nathaniel Watson from the practice squad, and listed CB Noah Igbinoghene as questionable for Week 2,” the Browns posted.

In the Week 1 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Watson played 15 snaps on special teams. It was his first game action since the 2024 season finale. A sixth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, he made 14 combined tackles as a rookie, playing primarily on special teams. He suffered a biceps injury during training camp last August and sat out the entire 2025 campaign.
Watson can be returned to the practice squad after this game, as he was after the season opener. According to NFL rules, he can be elevated one more time before he has to be added to the 53-man roster.
Igbinoghene signed with the Browns after being released by the Seattle Seahawks on NFL cutdown day. He was inactive against the Jaguars.
Of the eight players who were previously on the Browns’ injury report, only guard Teven Jenkins has been designated as out. Center Parker Brailsford, defensive tackle Maliek Collins, center Elgton Jenkins, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, guard Zion Johnson, and tackle Dawand Jones do not have a game designation.
The Browns will need all hands on deck going up against Baker Mayfield. The offense, with Deshaun Watson at quarterback, and the defense, looking for a rebound performance, will have to perform much better than they did in the blowout loss to the Jaguars.
Fortunately, Cleveland looks to be relatively healthy heading into this high-profile matchup with its former quarterback looking for revenge.
