All eyes will be on the Cleveland Browns this weekend as the team travels to Pittsburgh in hopes of taking down their AFC North rivals, the Steelers. This is a pivotal game for both squads, with everyone attempting to secure the top spot in the division. Right now, that position belongs to the Browns, but the Steelers would love to change that.
If the Browns end up losing in Pittsburgh, a lot of people will claim that their previous win over the Steelers was a fluke. Some will state that the Steelers are clearly the better team. But while speaking to 92.3 The Fan, Mary Kay Cabot claimed that the Browns have already “proven” their worth and ability with their first victory.
Another win is obviously very important, but Cleveland has already sent a message.
“It’s a different animal to go into Pittsburgh and try to win there. That’s an entirely different ball game. I do think that if they win this game, it really puts them in position to make the playoffs. It’s a huge game, but I think they’ve already proven themselves pretty well,” Cabot said.

The Browns usually hold an advantage over the Steelers when they’re playing in Cleveland, but beating them on the road is a whole other beast, and it would be a major accomplishment. It would also give the Browns three wins in a row, which would be an outstanding achievement for this team.
Of course, the most important thing another win would do is give the Browns a leg-up in the race to be the top team in the AFC North. That competition is neck-and-neck, with the Steelers also holding a 5-2 record and the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens right behind them with 4-2 and 4-3, respectively. This game will have a lot of implications for the months ahead.
The Browns have done better than expected this season, but there have been plenty of analysts and fans who doubt them and feel they still aren’t the real deal. They believe that the Browns will eventually stumble and start coming up short. The more wins they can achieve, the more they can push back against that narrative.
Defeating the Steelers once was exciting, but beating them a second time would be downright exhilarating.
