The second practice report of the week often tells a team more than the first. Some players start trending toward Sunday, while new names can pop up after a full day of work. For the Browns, Thursday brought a little of both as they continued preparing for New Orleans. One of the new additions belongs to one of the most productive players in the offense.
Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN shared that Harold Fannin Jr. was added to the injury report, as he’s dealing with a concerning groin injury.
“Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. was added to the injury report and limited with a groin injury. A groin injury prematurely ended his rookie season and kept him sidelined for much of the offseason workout program.”

The history is what makes this one worth watching. Fannin’s rookie season in 2025 ended early because of a groin injury, and the same issue kept him out of much of the offseason program this spring. Seeing it pop up again in November is not what the Browns wanted.
Fannin has been a key piece of the offense. He caught 10 passes in Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he has become one of the most reliable targets for Browns quarterbacks this season. If Shedeur Sanders starts Sunday, a dependable tight end would be a big help.
Fannin was not the only new name. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren was also added and limited with a hip injury.
There was good news elsewhere. Jared Verse, Elgton Jenkins and Myles Harden all moved up to full participation after being limited Wednesday. Austin Barber and Quincy Williams went from not practicing to limited, which is a step in the right direction for both.
Denzel Boston and Carson Schwesinger were limited for a 2nd straight day. Maliek Collins and Deshaun Watson did not practice again, which leaves their status for Sunday in doubt. Watson remains in the concussion protocol, and Sanders took the 1st team reps for a 2nd straight day.
The Saints have injury questions too. Running back C.J. Donaldson did not practice with shoulder and concussion issues, while Alvin Kamara was limited after sitting out Wednesday. Receiver Jordyn Tyson and tackles Kelvin Banks and Asim Richards were all limited again.
Friday’s practice will offer the final clues before game statuses come out. For the Browns, the biggest questions remain at quarterback, defensive tackle and now tight end.
