Running back Brian Hill is now on the Cleveland Browns practice squad.
Cleveland took a look at Hill among a group of other running backs back in September.
And now there is a chance he’ll be called up to play against the New England Patriots Sunday.

Nick Chubb, Demetric Felton, and John Kelly are all on the Covid list.
Kareem Hunt is eligible to come off the injured reserve, but he is not believed to be ready for action.
That leaves the Browns with only one healthy running back, D’Ernest Johnson, on the roster.
Cleveland also signed Sheldon Day and JaMarcus Bradley off the practice squad.
The #Browns signed WR Ja'Marcus Bradley and DT Sheldon Day to the active roster from the practice squad.
Additionally, the team signed RB Brian Hill, S Nate Meadors, and WR Isaiah Zuber to the practice squad and released CB Tim Harris.

Both players could carve a niche in the second half of the season.
Safety Nate Meadors and wide receiver Isaiah Zuber fill the empty practice squad spots.
And Tim Harris was released to finish a flurry of Tuesday afternoon moves.
Brian Hill Almost Missed the Season
Brian Hill played three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons around a short stint with Cincinnati.
But he was with the Tennessee Titans when he got injured in their final preseason game.
They placed him on season-ending injured reserve, but Hill negotiated an injury release.
The Titans’ move made Hill eligible to play for another team when his wounds healed.

Last season was Hill’s best as a Falcon, with 664 total yards on 100 carries and 25 catches.
He got a starting nod in Week 17 and responded with 136 yards from scrimmage.
In a similar situation, Hill gained over 100 yards on just 8 carries in a Week 16 game in 2018.
Hill’s career 5.2 yards-per-carry qualifies him for a Browns running back job.
Sheldon Day Gets The Call
Cleveland signed Sheldon Day as veteran help on the defensive line.
The sixth-year veteran is a solid, if unspectacular, resource.
Andrew Billings and rookie Tommy Togiai blocked him out of a season-opening roster spot.
But after weeks on the practice squad, it appears Day finally knocked the pair further back in the depth chart.

Day had a big hit on Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow late in the game Sunday.
He got into 2 games already this season, with 7 tackles and that QB hit.
It appears he will back up Malik Jackson and Jordan Elliott on the inside.
Hill had 14 career tackles-for-a-loss and 10 QB hits in mostly relief duty at Jacksonville and San Francisco.
Jamarcus Bradley Gets His Chance
Jamarcus Bradley played his college ball at Louisiana-Lafayette.
And despite catching 10 touchdown passes in each of his junior and senior seasons, he went undrafted.
But Andrew Berry made him one of his first undrafted free agents.
Bradley earned a spot on the practice squad after showing some promise in the preseason.

He was added to the active roster for the third time in Week 16, but this time he started against the NY Jets.
Baker Mayfield hit his young rookie 5 times for 60 yards in that game.
Cleveland relegated Bradley to the practice squad again after the 2021 preseason.
With Demetric Felton possibly sitting this week out, Bradley could see some action against the Patriots.
