With the Cleveland Browns officially throwing their hat in the ring for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, there are many who have theories about how this will turn out.
Among the people with a theory that he is not afraid to publicize is former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson.
With no sources cited, Johnson, 44, tweeted what he believes the outcome will be.
Watson to the Browns… ⏳
— Chad Johnson (@ochocinco) March 15, 2022
In four short words, Johnson predicts:
“Watson to the Browns…”
It is important to note the timing of his tweet is even before the Browns were set to meet with Watson in Houston on Tuesday afternoon.
Who Are Johnson’s Sources?
Twitter followers, as expected, had questions and comments about his prediction.
“You haven’t been right yet…lol”
I’ve NEVER been wrong when it comes to football, EVER, my sources are better than the source itself when i know the source is just the middle man. https://t.co/nCb9J9OrAK

To which Johnson responded:
“I’ve NEVER been wrong when it comes to football, EVER, my sources are better than the source itself when I know the source is just the middle man.”
It is unclear if Johnson is hinting that Watson himself is his source.
We can only speculate.
This Watson Situation Is Far From Over
Thus far, the Browns, Panthers, and Saints have met with Watson and the Texans.
We know that the Atlanta Falcons are also expressing interest, and that would be a hometown connection for Watson who grew up in Gainesville, Georgia.

Many, like GMFB‘s Peter Schrager, questioned why the Falcons did not jump in earlier as Watson was a Falcons ball boy as a child.
He is also on friendly terms with Falcons owner Arthur Blank and the Blank family.
We Can Revisit Johnson’s Prediction Later
Johnson could turn out to be correct that Watson lands with the Browns.
However, it is far too early to know that for a fact given that new teams can crawl out of the woodwork at any time now that Watson has been criminally cleared of wrongdoing.
As always, we will wait and see.
