The Cleveland Browns lost left tackle Jedrick Wills in the second half of the Kansas City Chiefs game Sunday afternoon.
Wills was taken to the locker room on a cart with an ankle injury.
Following the game, Coach Stefanski indicated further tests would be necessary to determine the severity of it.
On Monday morning, the Browns apparently received good news about Wills.
Coach Stefanski told 92.3 The Fan that Wills’ status is day-to-day throughout this week.
#Browns HC Kevin Stefanski says LT Jedrick Wills has an ankle injury, will see how he progresses throughout the week. "He's day-to-day"

Obviously, everyone is breathing a sigh of relief.
Wills, a second-year player, has done an outstanding job protecting quarterback Baker Mayfield‘s blindside.
He was immediately missed upon leaving the game because Mayfield was more vulnerable.
Week 1 Loss
The Browns are committed to work on the things needing improvement and to learn from yesterday’s loss.
Center JC Tretter talked about the importance of playing all 60 minutes without errors.
The Browns led the game for 53 out of the 60 minutes.
#Browns C JC Tretter on needing to "finish": "I think it's just attention to detail throughout the entire game. Every moment throughout the game is important. We need to be more effective throughout the entire game."

Tretter also said that the team needs to close out the win; that responsibility does not lie solely on Mayfield’s shoulders.
#Browns C JC Tretter on Baker late in games: "I don't think it's 'he's got to close out the game'. We have to close out the game."

Denzel Ward says the team knows it can match up with anyone in the NFL.
Finishing the job is key.
#Browns CB Denzel Ward: "I think confidence is still high. We know what we're capable of. Guys know they can play with anybody. It's just about doing our job and finding a way to win."

Coach Stefanski
It is not surprising that Coach Stefanski does not want to elaborate on the positives from yesterday’s game whether it is the Browns’ strong start or impressive first half.
#Browns HC Kevin Stefanski: "It's a 60 minute game and you have to play a 60 minute game. You don't get anything for playing a 30-minute game."
— 92.3 The Fan (@923TheFan) September 12, 2021
The result was a loss, and Stefanski is focused on the outcome and what needs to be done to improve moving forward.
#Browns HC Kevin Stefanski on whether he feels better about his team, that they were in position to win if they fixed things that went wrong: "No."
— 92.3 The Fan (@923TheFan) September 13, 2021
However, Stefanski is confident in the abilities of his players and believes in their resiliency.
#Browns HC Kevin Stefanski: "We have to be a resilient bunch. I think we have the right guys in this building when something happens in those games."

It is a long 17 game season ahead, and Stefanski knows it.
Next up for the Browns are the Houston Texans who scored a win yesterday over the Jacksonville Jaguars with an impressive outing by Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
