The NFL season is getting closer each day as fans eagerly wait for training camp to begin.
While we wait, Pro Football Focus has released their top 50 players for the 2020 season.
The list ranks the best players in the league regardless of position.
Cleveland Browns fans will be excited to know that two players from their team have made the list.
In fact, those two players actually cracked the top 30 on the PFF best players list.
Nick Chubb
Browns 24-year-old running back Nick Chubb landed himself at No. 27 on the top 50.
Here’s what PFF had to say about Chubb:
“You can make a good argument that Nick Chubb is the best running back in football right now — the only thing holding the case back is a lack of sample size compared to players like Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott and others. Chubb is averaging more than four yards per carry after contact over his NFL career. He has PFF rushing grades above 90.0 in both seasons and has broken 110 tackles on just 490 carries with another 18 broken tackles on the 56 receptions he has to date. Chubb is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, though perhaps not the receiver people want to see at the position in today’s league.”
There were only two running backs who made the list, Chubb and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey.
It’s not surprising to see Chubb rated that high after the season he put together in 2019.
He rushed for 1,494 yards on 298 attempts with eight touchdowns last season.
Some could make the case that Chubb is the best running back in the league right now.

Chubb is averaging more than four years per carry after contact during his first two years in the league.
PFF has given Chubb rushing grades above 90.0 in both seasons he has played in the NFL.
Those 1,494 yards Chubb rushed for last season were the fourth-best in franchise history.
The only Browns player to have a better year on the ground was Jim Brown on three separate occasions.
Chubb might get overlooked because of all the talent on the Browns roster, but he is already one of the best running backs in the league.
Myles Garrett
The other Browns player that found himself on the PFF top 50 is defensive end Myles Garrett.
PFF ranks Garrett at No. 29 and he’s joined by five other pass rushers on the list.
Here’s what PFF had to say about Garrett:
“Myles Garrett was enjoying a career year before the red mist descended and he swung a helmet at Mason Rudolph, ending his season through suspension. Even after missing so much time, the 49 total pressures he registered was a top-30 mark among edge rushers. His pass-rushing grade of 91.6 was the second-best in the league, a fraction behind T.J. Watt. If Garrett can return to the same level of play he reached last season, we are looking at one of the best pass rushers in the game — somebody whose PFF grade has improved each season of his career.”
The 24-year-old pass rusher is already known as one of the best in the league after three seasons.
He was enjoying a career year before being suspended for hitting Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph over the head with his own helmet.
Garrett recorded 29 tackles, 18 quarterbacks hits, and 10 sacks through 10 games last season.

Despite missing some time, Garrett totaled 49 pressures which was a top-30 mark among pass rushers last season.
He finished with a 91.6 pass-rushing grade, which was the second-best in the league.
Garrett was on pace to break the Browns franchise record of 14 sacks before being suspended last season.
Over his career, Garrett has 104 tackles, six fumbles forced, and 30.5 sacks through 37 games.
He has only been in the league for a few seasons and Garrett is already looking like he’s going to be an unstoppable force for years to come.
Who Else Made the PFF List?
Sadly, the Browns only had two players land in the top 50 best players in 2020.
The top five on the list included San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle at No. 5.
The the fourth spot is young superstar guard Quenton Nelson of the Indianapolis Colts.
PFF gave the three spot on the list to Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.
Rounding out the top two are Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in second.
Then the top player in the league is Los Angeles Rams pass rusher Aaron Donald.
