The Cleveland Browns are now full speed ahead in their preparations for the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. But that will not stop them from continuing to tweak their team.
As players continue to come and go around the NFL, the Browns are keeping their eyes open for any potential improvements. They hope that they have found one on the defensive line.
The Browns announced two roster moves on Monday, signing defensive tackle Zion Logue to their practice squad and letting go of Tyreak Sapp.

Logue does have NFL experience, appearing in five games with the Buffalo Bills over the past two seasons, posting four combined tackles and one-half sack. He was waived by Buffalo last week as part of its final roster cuts.
The 25-year-old was a sixth-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia. There, his time overlapped with Browns head coach Todd Monken, who was his offensive coordinator.
Sapp was signed by the Browns as a free agent soon after the University of Florida product was not selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. After making four combined tackles and two quarterback hits in two preseason appearances sandwiched around an injury absence, the 23-year-old was not part of Cleveland’s initial 53-man roster but was re-signed to the practice squad.
After struggling with depth at defensive tackle for much of training camp, the Browns got a boost when veteran Maliek Collins was able to return from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list following his recovery from a quad injury suffered last season. He and Mason Graham will start on the interior, with Kalia Davis and Adin Huntington as backups. Mike Hall Jr. is also expected to play both end and tackle.
Logue may have a better chance than Sapp did to be called up to the active roster if needed, based on his experience, which is likely why the Browns made this latest transaction.
