Baker Mayfield Has Hilarious Live Reaction To Big Nick Chubb Run

One of the highlights of the Cleveland Browns 22-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday was an explosive 54-yard run from Nick Chubb.

For most of the game, the Eagles defense was containing Nick Chubb and the Browns running game.

But, Nick Chubb has shown throughout his career that he is always capable of breaking a long-run at any point in the game.

That turned into a reality for the Eagles defense when Chubb stiff-armed Eagles defensive end Joe Ostman and ran for a 54-yard gain.

Tackling @nickchubb21 is hard, we get it.

The jaw-dropping play happened when the Browns were holding onto a 12-10 lead in the 4th quarter.

The Browns capped off the drive with a Kareem Hunt touchdown a few plays later.

Baker Mayfield’s reaction

Perhaps no player on the field was more visibly excited by Chubb’s run than Mayfield.

Mayfield danced his way down the field before taking the first and goal snap.

The Browns moved to 7-3 and have their best record through 10 games since 1994, when they started 8-2.

They are also 5-1 at home for the first time since 2007 and have moved into 2nd place in the AFC North.

The Browns also snapped a 5 game losing streak against the Eagles in which they last beat them on Nov 13, 1994.

They also improved to 3-0 against NFC opponents for the first time since 1988.

About Jimmy Swartz

Owner and Founder of BrownsNation.com. As a freelance sports journalist being born and raised in Ohio, I understand the Cleveland Browns fan base. Whether it was Red Right 88, The Drive, The Fumble, The Move, and whatever we're calling the post-1999 quarterback dilemma, Browns fans just want a winner. When I'm not plugging away in front of the computer, I'm probably watching sports or thinking about sports.

Although he has played in only 1 game, I have no doubt that Case Keenum has been a very positive and powerful force in the development of Baker Mayfield. Keenum could do just as good a job as Baker, maybe better at this point , but Mayfield 25 and Keenum is 32. Gotta take age into consideration in this situation. The Browns are sitting as pretty as can be with QB’s.
