The Cleveland Browns are one of many teams that announced they won’t hold in-person workouts.
However, that hasn’t stopped the Browns offense from getting together this offseason.
Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has reportedly joined his teammates in Florida to do some workouts.
Mary Kay Cabot:
"Browns QB Baker Mayfield has spent some time this week at House of Athlete in Weston, Florida, already throwing to and starting to get his mojo down for the upcoming season with Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, David Njoku, Austin Hooper and Kyle Markway"— BrownsFreak51 (@BrownsFreak51) April 28, 2021
Unfinished Business
Last season was a successful year for the Browns, but they didn’t achieve their ultimate goal.
They went 11-5 and knocked out their division rival Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round.
However, they were handed a second-round exit by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Clearly, the offense is hungry and wants to get together and improve their chemistry before training camp.
The biggest question is whether or not Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. can fix their obvious disconnection on the field.
It’s visually apparent that when Baker Mayfield and OBJ are on the field together there is a disconnect.
Maybe personalities/egos clashing, maybe just bad chemistry. Whatever it is.. is visible. They need to work it out & become real teammates before I see the #browns in a SB.

Through two seasons, the two of them have failed to develop consistent chemistry together.
The Browns offense clicked much better after Beckham’s mid-season injury.
Hopefully, the two sides can find some chemistry during their third season together in Cleveland.
Clearly, Mayfield is not going anywhere anytime soon with the Browns accepting his fifth-year option of $18 million for the 2022 season.
The #Browns have picked up the fifth year options on Baker Mayfield and Denzel Ward, source said. Both no brainers. https://t.co/dZLKcBqLu5

The two sides have not agreed on a long-term extension, but it doesn’t sound like Mayfield is worried about it.
There is no question that he is deserving of a contract extension after the way he played in 2020.
It’s always great to see Mayfield getting in extra work with his teammates and attempting to improve their chemistry.
The Browns are obviously not happy after last season and are hungry to improve this offseason.
This roster has the talent to get into the Super Bowl, but now it’s time to put it into action.
