S Karl Joseph is now the ninth player on the Browns Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Here is the updated list.
- Jarvis Landry, WR
- Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR
- Rashard Higgins, WR
- KhaDarel Hodge, WR
- Jacob Philips, LB
- B.J. Goodson, LB
- Harrison Bryant, TE
- Andrew Sendejo, S
- Karl Joseph, S
The first 6 players missed the Jets game but could be back as early as Thursday if they continue to test negative.
They were deemed close contacts and have tested negative since Saturday.
B.J. Goodson is definitely out against the Steelers as he tested positive last Saturday (December 26).
Also, it appears that Andrew Sendejo has tested positive so he will be out against the Steelers.
At this point, Bryant and Joseph may be close contacts so they could potentially be available to play on Sunday pending repeated negative COVID-19 tests.
#Browns COVID-19 list updates: S Andrew Sendejo won't be available for the #Steelers game. Harrison Bryant and Karl Joseph could be. 9 total on the list

Karl Joseph
Joseph is in his first season with the Browns.
He spent the past four years with the Raiders.
Karl Joseph has played in 13 games this season, starting in 8 of them.
Joseph had an INT against the Washington Football Team in Week 3.
He has 43 solo tackles and 17 assists.
Depleted Browns Need To Win On Sunday
These Reserve/COVID-19 list additions are devastating for a Browns team who must defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday to earn their spot in the playoffs.
The Browns loss to the Jets may somewhat be attributed to the lack of personnel on offense.
Despite the fact that QB Ben Roethlisberger will not be active in the game, the Browns need to be ready to defend against backup QB Mason Rudolph.
Hopefully, there are no more COVID-19 surprises as the week goes on.
The Browns host the Steelers on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm EST.
