The Cleveland Browns have not had much success since Jimmy Haslam bought the team in 2012.
Actually, that is an understatement.
The entire organization has been a disaster and the losing was only made worse with new uniforms some fans saw as tacky and not in the classic Browns tradition.
When the football is bad, fans will be mad.
The good news is that the team is getting new uniforms and a Browns executive revealed they will drop this month.
The new #Browns Uniforms will be released on April…Stay Tuned and more importantly stay safe and stay home. God Bless and Go Browns!

Update: According to Tom Withers of the Associated Press, they will be unveiled on April 15th.
Not certain if plans have changed, but #Browns new uniforms expected to be unveiled on April 15.

This follows years of bad play in the first redesign under the Haslams.
Current Browns Uniforms
Social media is filled with countless illustrations guessing what the new uniforms will look like.
That is because fans want anything other than what has been worn since 2015.

The team went away from the traditional look and got new uniforms that did not go over well with fans.
To be fair, someone is always complaining about any uniform change in professional sports.
But this look was odd and the words stitched down the side of the pants were never liked.
The kicker was the Browns winning a total of four games in the first three seasons with the new look.
It came to define an embarrassing era of Browns football and it was more likely to see someone wearing a throwback jersey at a game.
This author could be found with a Josh Cribbs jersey at FirstEnergy Stadium during these dark times in franchise history.
The only good look produced with the look was the Color Rush uniform the team tried to wear as much as possible.

Hopefully, the new uniforms will be as well-received as the Color Rush look.
New Browns Uniforms
We are all desperate for any positive sports-related news and the unveiling of the new uniform will be something to get fans talking.
Just don’t be surprised if there is a polarizing reaction.
Some people are going to love them and others are going to claim the new uniforms are even worse than the old ones.
Honestly, a nonsensical uniform argument would be nice given the current societal circumstances.
For anyone looking to pass the time there are some fun illustrations available guessing potential new looks.
Take: these uniforms are perfect. Shoutout to @REbie33, who made them. #Browns pic.twitter.com/1QE61BKSdD

Fans can even have a laugh with some of the bad ones.

It seems logical to expect the Browns to drop the new uniforms right before or during the 2020 NFL Draft.
The event is being done in a studio setting, but it would be wise to get the new look out there and get the top pick in a brand new Browns jersey as soon as possible.
The player can be shipped a new jersey and the team can advertise the new look with whoever is taken with the Browns’ top pick, whether that is at No. 10 overall or not.
The hope is that a new uniform will coincide with a brand new, positive era of Browns football.
Some fans have actively abstained from buying a jersey because of the hate for the design.
The new design can’t be any worse.
Right?

I think the browns need to go to the original jerseys or some new ones I don’t care as long as kevin gives nick Chubb the ball
Brian says
I’ve always thought that pro/college sports teams should choose a design and stay with that design as long as possible the way the Raiders, Steelers, Alabama, Penn State Green Bay, Giants have. Less is more lets have more of less. As for the Browns, I think the threads worn during the years of Brady Quinn and Eric Mangini were the best. They were sharp, crisp no nonsense. They were the Cleveland Browns and I hope the new design is along those lines.
Rob says
I love the traditional uniforms and also really the like the color rush uniforms. I love orange so hope they have an orange jersey and orange pants, probably not to be worn together but I think the orange looks good
Greg says
Just go back to the kardiac Kidz design alternating the orange & white pants and bring back the white face masks. Keep helmet blank as always. I’m glad the Elf is back.
Chris says
Go back to the old uniforms. Brown sipe kosar era, nothing else. Need the white face mask. I realize that when you buy a company you have the right to do what you want, these owners didnt care about browns tradition and what the fans want. They produced ugly uniforms and horrible teams. Sad
Tim K. says
We need the old favorites. At home brown jersey white numerals and white pants. On the road all white or white jersey and orange pants …. No emblem on helmet. This is the BROWNS …
