It is MLK Monday, and Cleveland Browns fans were spectators in the NFL playoff games this weekend.
To say it was a bummer is understating the feeling.
Here are the Browns Nation news and notes for Monday, January 17, 2022.
1. David Njoku Feels The Playoff Blues
Tight end David Njoku was also feeling the playoff blahs just like the rest of us.
He shared it on Twitter.
“Never take playoff football for granted…Killin me just watchin from home.”

2. The Joe Thomas And Steelers Fan Exchange On Twitter Is Delightful
Joe Thomas, once again, provides a humorous take on the Steelers playoff outcome, and we could not love him more for it.
“@Steelers, congratulations on your playoff participation trophy”

A Steelers fan tried to rattle Thomas for this comment, but to no avail, because Thomas once again says it like it is and is 100% right.
I’m still waiting for this to sting…not yet;
NFL is binary, you win the super bowl or you don’t…there’s no in between
— Joe Thomas (@joethomas73) January 17, 2022
When asked if Thomas has a participation trophy, Thomas replied:
“I’m still waiting for this to sting…not yet:..NFL is binary, you win the super bowl or you don’t…there’s no in between.”
Joe Thomas trolling Steelers fans makes my heart happy. 🐐🐐 #Browns

3. Other Joe Thomas News
Thomas’s popularity has never waned since retiring from the Browns after the 2017 season.
Fans want the Browns legend to follow fellow offensive tackle legend Doug Dieken into the radio broadcast booth for the 2022 season.
Dieken retired after the Week 18 game.
Let's start a movement to try to get Joe Thomas to replace Doug Dieken (retired) as Jim Donovan's partner on The Cleveland Browns radio broadcast!@3JimDonovan @joethomas73#Browns pic.twitter.com/mo8WYVVfwI

The NFL Network is losing Thursday Night Football in 2022 as it will be exclusive to Amazon Prime so maybe Thomas would consider it.
NFL announces that Amazon Prime Video will be the exclusive home of Thursday Night Football beginning with the 2022 season.
Originally was scheduled to start in 2023.

Thomas jokingly was considering a career change on Twitter this weekend so perhaps the timing is right for a permanent move into the radio booth.
A good financial decision would be to stop wasting my time doing NFL media and go full time NFL gambling…I’m like 20-3 picking games this year, including undefeated on playoff games
— Joe Thomas (@joethomas73) January 17, 2022
Seems Thomas knew how to predict the outcomes of this season’s games.
Maybe the radio gig is a bad idea, and the Browns front office should hire him as a consultant to help fix the Browns.
Happy Monday Browns fans!
