A member of the Cleveland Browns coaching staff is vying for a promotion with the Las Vegas Raiders.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that newly hired Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels is interviewing Browns tight ends coach Drew Petzing for the Raiders offensive coordinator position.
#Browns TEs coach Drew Petzing has an OC interview with the #Raiders tomorrow, source said. Just 34, he’s a bright young coach to watch.

Drew Petzing’s Resume
The 34-year-old Petzing has worked exclusively with the Minnesota Vikings and the Cleveland Browns in his NFL career.
He started as an operations intern with the Browns in 2013.
With the Vikings from 2014 to 2019, he served in various capacities, all on the offensive side of the ball.
The positions included offensive assistant, assistant wide receivers coach, assistant quarterbacks coach, and wide receivers coach.
For the Browns, he just completed his second season as the tight ends coach.
Interesting name to watch is Browns TEs coach Drew Petzing. Was with the #Vikings from 2014-19 before following Stefanski to Cleveland. Could be an OC candidate in the near future.

Petzing has worked with Coach Kevin Stefanski for years in both organizations so this would be a big move for him should he get the OC job in Las Vegas.
Second Browns Coach Interviewing For An OC Job
Earlier this week, it was reported that Browns wide receiver coach Chad O’Shea was interviewing for the offensive coordinator position with the New York Giants under new head coach Brian Daboll.
Daboll and O’Shea crossed paths in New England as members of Bill Belichick’s coaching staff from 2013-2016.
Daboll was the tight ends coach while O’Shea was the wide receivers coach.
#Giants are expected to hire Mike Kafka as their next offensive coordinator, per reports. #Browns wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Chad O’Shea was one of the expected finalists for the position so he’ll likely be back in Cleveland next season.

On Thursday, it was reported that O’Shea will not get the job as Mike Kafka is expected to be named the new Giants OC.
It’s That Time Of Year
This is a normal process this time of year and is a compliment in many ways.
Other teams and coaches believe the Browns have a talented coaching staff and want to tap into it.
