Cleveland Browns Open As 7-Point Favorites Over Washington

The opening line is out for the Cleveland Browns matchup versus the Washington Football Team in Week 3.

Both teams head into this one with a 1-1 record, but the Browns are a heavy favorite for this home contest.

Currently, the Browns are a 7-point favorite to beat Washington, according to BetMGM.

Only the Indianapolis Colts (-10.5) versus the New York Jets are bigger favorites this week.

However, the over/under for the Browns contest is set at 44.5, which is one of the lowest point total lines for Week 3.

It’s not often that the Browns are favored to win games, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can actually cover the spread.

Cleveland vs Washington

The Browns are coming into this game feeling good after their Thursday night victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

It was a nice outing by Cleveland after getting destroyed by the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener.

Cleveland bounced back nicely on offense with a 124 rushing yard performance by Nick Chubb.

The Week 2 victory was a positive sign that things are beginning to click in Cleveland.

They will have a fairly favorable matchup here against a below-average Washington team.

However, the Football team shouldn’t be taken lightly.

They were able to pull off a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1.

Washington was down 17-0, but found a way to crawl back into the contest.

It was a nice start to the season for Washington, but the fairy tale ended in Week 2.

They were beaten 30-15 by the Arizona Cardinals during their second contest of the season.

Both teams look to rebound in Week 3, but obviously only one can win.

How To Beat Washington

Luckily for the Browns, the Football Team does not have much talent on offense.

The Washington running game is basically non-existent this season.

Honestly, the only threat on the offensive unit for Washington is wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

He torched the Cardinals for 125 yards with seven receptions and one touchdown last week.

Terry Mclaurin was out there giving it his all. Keep working bro.

However, the Browns are likely going to put young stud defensive back Denzel Ward on McLaurin.

The Browns defensive unit should be able to hold the Washington offense in check.

The biggest strength to the Football Team is their defensive line.

They have Pro Bowl caliber options such as Montez Sweat and Chase Young who are nearly unstoppable.

Although, the Browns should be able to cover the 7-point spread, assuming the offensive line is able to slow down the Washington pass rush.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens as this is a fairly important game for both teams.
